The occurrence is located along the Ohio River just south of Paden City Park, north of a Salix nigra forest and a strip of Populus deltoides forest. The RR track and the city lie to the east. There is a deep, narrow ditch with some backed up water from the river cutting through the forest near the northern end. The city has cleared the ground vegetation down to this ditch.;The vegetation is very homogeneous.
