Limestone knob with ancient red cedar forest and other assorted limestone communities. Above cliff turns quickly to oak - hickory forest.;Ledges running across a nose with aspect change from west to north. Limestone bedrock. Community physiognomy grades from open woodland on west to closed forest on north, dominated by white cedar mixed with white pine, eastern red cedar, and hop hornbeam. Death camas and black sedge are abundant in herb layer.
