Downslope is a mesic basswood-chestnut oak forest (PEND.61). Bottom of slope has oak-hickory forest and spur on limestone has population of Canby's mountain lover.;Steep, northwest aspect slope with loose talus supports a woodland of wide spaced, low growing sweet birch and chestnut oak. Community grows on all sides around a small opening. Talus is covered with lichens and mosses and lithophillic herbs and vines grow mostly under the canopy.
