Wildlife Management Area. Social trails lead from WMA entrance along highway. Large rock oak at base of cliffs, forest becomes more mesic and younger downslope. Coal power plant is upstream a couple miles.;Sandstone cliff / rock outcrop overlooking the Kanawha River Valley. Bedrock is massive sandstone with few fissures, except vertical crevices. Rock has little vascular vegetation but is dominated by crustose and dust lichens. Diversity is relatively low, possibly due to erodable substrate and/or air pollution(?).
