Farm on river. Major threats are cattle grazing/trampling and deer browsing.;Cattle area but not heavily grazed or trampled at this time. One cow pie and one pile of deer scat in plot. Osmunda in large doughnut shaped hummocks 1.5 m in diameter and 40 cm high. Sedges on small very round hummocks with Sphagnum hollows.

This was the least disturbed of several similar communities seen along the Laurel Fork today. All show disturbance. May be typical of disturbed (grazed) stand. Small spring fed open area on inside of old oxbow. Small streams (15 cm wide) run through Sphag
