Landscape Narrative ? Large block of floodplain forest/tall herb openings and back channel wetlands in a heavily developed agricultural valley. Groves of forest occupy higher areas with tall herb openings, occupy slightly lower ground.;Floodplain of steep muddy banked river. Active floodplain with fluvial topography of swales and levees and large accumulations of flotsam. Community is a grove-like stand of large sycamore with a subcanopy of buckeye. Sparse herb layer in this spot, but ranges to heavy.
Representativeness ? Older patch of sycamore-buckeye forest -less than average herb cover due to heavy shade and litter accumulation from flooding.
