Large minimally developed floodplain complex of pasture, swamp forest, old ox bows and floodplain forests. To the West ca. 50 m is an open hay field, another 400 meters is the T. Valley river. To the east 100 meters is a railgrade.;Even aged deciduous forest of swamp white oak growing on a large flat floodplain. There is little if any S2 layer within the stand. The forest floor has a dense low growing herb layer dominated by New York fern. Festuca subverticillata and Polygonum caespitosum. The forest has likely been grazed. Although there isnt any current sign of cattle. The soils are compacted and most of the low branches on the trees are gone and most of the S1 shrubs have damage from "rubbing".
Representativeness
