River edge is eroded with a line of large sugar maple and sycamore leaning into the river. Downstream is a small patch of sugar maple- sycamore similar to RAND.60. Most of this floodplain patch is successional on old farm land.;Levee near river edge of large floodplain supports a thin band of red oak floodplain forest. Sandy, well drained, acidic soils. There are also red maple, black cherry and sugar maple in stand. Tall shrub layer is dominated by blue beech. Large suga maple with a dbh of 112 cm.
