See RAND.66. Isolated series of river islands up stream from Weese;Floodplain terrace on the upstream end of a high water island. There are several piles of flotsom, consisting of large barkless trees. There are several highwater channels cutting through the stand. The forest floor is a series of swales and lows. There is an abundance of old railroad ties washed up in the plot.
Representativeness
Small patch of floodplain forest with sycamore and yellow birch. An interesting combination I have rarely observed. Although it seems to repeat in small patches on the upstream end of the river islands in the area.
