This is the lower end of the wetland where it becomes more heterogenous and eventually drops into a ravine. This is the most isolated area of the wetland with no game plots nearby.;This stand is a palustrine forest of Aver rubrum and Nyssa with understory of Carex sp. (especially folliculata). There are hummocks which have Gaylussacia baccata. There is some variation in inundation here, with one corner having a spot which is about 0.5 under water.
Representativeness
Forested wetland edge with some inundation with representatives of some of the less inundated herbaceous wetland communities. This seems to be a large representative which may be better represented by the presence of more mixed hardwoods or the odd pitch
