This is the southernmost limit of the property and is bound by the North River and a road to the south. To the north is the rest of the WMA. Exotic species are nearby, but do not seem to be invading here due to the sterile environment.;Stand dominated by mixed oaks with the occasional pine and hemlocks. Despite it's proximity to the river and its flat slope, the species here indicate this soil is fairly xeric and nutirent poor. There are more rich areas nearby off the property.
Representativeness
Represents a flat, but well drained stream terrace with species typical of the drier slopes. Most of the oaks are represented here except Quercus rubra and there are some areas with more hickory.
