This is the lower edge of a slope formed by parellel draws which have their confluence at the bottom. South is the wetland. Area is bound by mixed oak forests on both sides. Located near the highest density of game plots as well as the main road.;This is probably the only stand of its type here although somewhat resembling communities at the fridge of the wetland nearby where pitch pine and scarlet oak are important. This site is distinguished by the clear and almost homogenous structure of canopy P. rigida and subcanopy Q. coccinea with extremely dense heath cover. No pine recuitment. Many canopy gapsand this stand appears mostly woodland with some forest cover.
