Small linear community above small draw in a dominantly oak-hickory forest with older trees dying and creating canopy gaps. Dirt road ~100 m above.;Extremely rocky slope with apparent water flow beneath containing some older trees with numerous smaller ones. Very well drained substrate with water beneath creates niche for some mesic species such as Fraxinus americana. Heavily browsed. South of the plot has a place where water comes to the surface and was where herbaceous diversity was higher.
