Adjacent to a strictly C. stricta community, then forest to the west and a heavily inundated area (SHMO 37) to the east.;An argument could be made that this is an ecotone between a Carex sticta/atlantica community, but Sparganium and Glyceria are not found in abundance or at all in all adjacent communities. C. stricta may be more abundant here earlier, but it is shattering, but C. atlantica still has fair cover C. stricta may not be important here and I've overlooked it as a C. atlantica community earlier.
Representativeness
Moderately inundated edge community. Chosen to represent a variation of a sedge community with Sparganium and Calamagrostis.
