Meadow Run is 20 m to the west and mixed oak forests surround the area on the slopes.;This stand is located near the headwaters of Meadow Run. The stream here is emphemeral, but there is clearly water near the surface in a lot of the area. White and red oak and Nyssa are important trees with Betula and Acer rubrum having minor presence. Osmunda forms large patches here as well as heaths. Very similar to communities observed next to the wetland.
Representativeness
Low level forested palustrine area with a mix of moderately hydrophytic vegetation and more mesic low slope species. More nyssa would have been appropriate.
