This stand is at the northernmost portion of the wetland in a broad flat forest which slowly grades to upland. East is the wetland and north is the main road.;This stand is a palustrine forest of Nyssa and Quercus alba. Trees ae widely spaced. I'm unsure of this area is becoming more inundated or is draining out. There are white oaks dying out at the edge which leaves me to believe the former. The high % of bare soil actually represents what are occasionally pools of water.
Representativeness
Forested wetland between herb/shrublands and upland. Placed to capture Nyssa-oak composition rather than slightly less inundated maple-birch swamp.
