Forest land, managed by the WVDNR. The land surrounding the WMA is private. From CR 34 to here, much of the forest was successional tulip poplar. Downslope from the plot is an unnamed tributary of Wolfpen Run. Upslope is CR 34, a barely driveable jeep trail through private land.;Young somewhat dry oak forest coming in on a west facing midslope. The canopy is dominated by Quercus coccinea with an understory of Carya ovata and red maple. There is some oak regeneration as well as other shrub species in the S1 and S1 layers. There is a large deer trail crossing the plot.
