WMA leased to WVDNR. Remote area with mud roads to gas wells. Younger mesophytic forests are dominated by tulip poplar. One hundred six cm dbh white ash on property corner to E.;Top of north facing cove with erosion channels visable on air photos. Slope is both gullied vertically and has horizontal terraces. Remnant old growth may have been left because cove is surrounded by property boundaries. Forest is dominated by very large red oak and sugar maple with mesophytic trees in subcanopy. There are two large sugar maple blowdowns in plot and additional older tip mounds. Tilia snag with T3 root sprouts. Herb layer is only moderately diverse.
