Alluvial valley bottom mostly in agricultural or development. Small patches of floodplain forest remaining are mostly very weedy.;Alluvial terrace with a back channel and several big channels cutting between backchannel and river. Upper terraces are occupied by a seldom flooded forest dominated by sycamore, sugar maple, red oak and buckeye. Better developed soils compared to more frequently flooded forests. Shrub layers are sparse due to deer herbivory. Abundant snags and down wood but little flotsam.
