WMA is mostly dissected by skid trails and select cut, with invasion od stiltgrass and multifloral rose. Differences between this and last plot may be due to geology break.;Shoulder slope above a steep ravine just above where it drains to floodplain along a convex, lower slope position. Soil has sandstone and is acidic and nutrient poor - in contrast to last plot which was acidic but nutrient rich. Forest here is dominated by oaks and red maple with beech. Position is on a nose between two drains, which may have protected it from logging.
