Along river edge is narrow zone of foest along eroded flooded bank silver maple is along edge. Some areas upstream have no Vallisneria, and higher cover by Potamogeton 'crispus' cf.;Shallow, slow flowing river through an agricultural valley. River bottom includes stretches of bedrock, but plot with higher density of aquatic vegetation has rock, gravel bottom. Water is about 2 ft deep at sample date, but was significantly higher last week.
