Beaver Dam Run is basically a medium sized valley. The open areas are dominated by either Solidago rugosa or Dichanthelium clandestinum. Some higher terraces contain conifers and Northern Hardwoods. See plots USFS.285,286 and MONF.104,105,106;Red spruce-Eastern hemlock. Plot is located on an alluvial terrace. The terrain is rather hummocky. There are some Northern Hardwood species in the plot in addition to wetland forbs.
