See plots USFS.8,9. Transect bearing is 110 degrees. Chains 1-65 goes down a steep rocky sideslope. Chains 1-18 Betula alleghaniensis and Tsuga canadensis. Chains 18-65 Prunus serotina and Quercus rubra. Hit private land at chain65, changed bearing to 220 degrees. Went along the sideslope, rocky with Quercus rubra and Quercus prinus.;Sugar maple-Red oak. Quercus rubra in the overstory. Most of the understory was Acer pensylvanicum and Ostrya virginiana. Not many forbs. Few ferns.
