WMA tract on both sides of county road, but not signed or developed for access. Uphill and to west, on yet warmer aspect grades to oak with more abundant bluberries. Narrow floodplain in bottom with road has sycamores. Multiple gas lines bisect WMA.;Low relief hills of dissected plateau. Site is southfacing slope above a small creek. White oak is strongly dominant throughout stand, with scattered black, red, scarlet oaks. Hickory is present in multiple size classes. There are sparse blueberries and moderate diversity in the herb layer. Herb diversity may be under sampled due to late phenology, and heavy deer herbivory.
Representativeness
Large patch sub-xeric oak hickory on lower middle, warm aspect slope. Plot includes larger black oak, which are scattered among dominant white oak.
