BLM parcels in Butte County, north and east of Paradise: This is a dense stand of mature Pseudotsuga menziesii and Pinus ponderosa with an immediate understory of Quercus kelloggii and Umbellularia californica on relatively flat terrain with dense low shrub cover of Symphoricarpos albus mixed with Toxicodendron diversilobum. There is a creek which runs through the stand just outside the study area boundary. There is a trail through the stand. The management of this property is unknown, as are the parent material and the soil texture.
