This is a very open mixed oak stand on a rocky, SW facing slope with a high cover of mature Aesculus californica and patches of shrubby Toxicodendron diversilobum. This stand is on a hillside that spans aspects south to west, 252 degrees is the average. Aesculus californica is concentrated on the W facing aspect.
