Location Narrative ? Northern Portion of Denny Ranch in Tehama County: Mature valley oak stand adjacent to riparian, Populus-dominated corridor. Some trees have dbh greater than 3 ft. Shrub understory is sparse while herbaceous understory is moderately dense with Aristolochia intermixing with a variety of annual forbs and grasses. Bee boxes occupy stand. Stand across the road, to SW, is in a drier habitat with more blue oak influence.
