Bettencourt Conservation Easement and adjacent State Recreation Area land: Distance Rapid Assessment survey of midslope vegetation on a slope immediately above the American River. The overstory is composed of both large and medium-sized grey pine over mixed shrubs and young interior live oak. There are also some young ponderosa pine in the stand. The herbaceous layer consists of annual grasses.
