BLM Parcels in Butte County, east and southeast of Paradise: This is a very small stand of open Pinus ponderosa forest. The shrub cover is significantly lower in this stand than the adjoining Pinus ponderosa/Arctostaphylos viscida stand (which more or less surrounds this stand). This stand is found on the top of a ridge, is relatively flat, with high litter cover, and low herb cover. There is evidence of cutting of manzanita. The Pinus ponderosa trees are young and the soil parent material is unknown.
