The stand seems fairly young since it is comprised mostly of an Arctostaphylos viscida thicket with emergent young Quercus wislizeni and Pinus ponderosa. The understory is very sparse with only a few Quercus wislizeni seedlings and very low growing Toxicodendron diversilobum and moss. The litter cover is high.
