This stand is dominated by mostly young Pinus sabiniana with some mature individuals. The shrub understory is dense and diverse, herbaceous cover is sparse, short, and mostly dead. The stand is found on a ridgetop on the eastern boundary of this BLM parcel and is intersected by a road. This area may have been cleared long ago to make the road, or as a fire break. The stand spans the ridgetop and top-most area of the N and S facing slopes, about 2 acres.
