Location Narrative ? Stand of young, regenerating oaks with an understory of Heteromeles arbutifolia and Arctostaphylos viscida. The area appears to have been logged for large cedars and is now returning as a mixed oak stand. There is a lot of gravel and cobble in the understory and very few herbs. Mountain misery is very thick in patches.
