Cow Creek Ranch is a Shasta Land Trust easement property. This Rapid Assessment survey describes the small relatively heterogeneous stand of vegetation associated with the headwaters of this creek (see map). The tree cover is mostly along the edges of the stand while a majority of the area (just over an acre) is dominated by high Rubus and Vitis cover. The herb cover is mostly along the edges and contains a fair amount of native perennial grasses. The stand structure is also heterogeneous with cover in many layers.
