Cow Creek Ranch is a Shasta Land Trust easement property. Stand consists of vegetation growing in a shallow pond on a ridgetop surrounded by Quercus douglasii woodland and Quercus wislizeni (shrub). This pond is possibly an old man-made stock pond. The vegetation is dominated by Eleocharis macrostachya and Damasonium californicum. The edges of this pond contain many vernal pool species such as Downingia sp.
