Bridge Rapid Assessment survey on Populus fremontii - Quercus lobata stand in rural residential neighborhood. Stand includes both sides of stream. Private property precludes access to stand, so not all herbs could be identified. Stream banks have been altered and planted somewhat by residents at eastern end of stand but I did not include those horticultural trees. Perennial stream flows E to W and averages 10 m across. There are several large (T5 ) cottonwoods and valley oaks and the cottonwoods are mixed-age. Understory is mostly Rubus discolor. The banks slope 10-20 degrees on each side.
