Quercus lobata stand follows ditch/creek parallel to road, flowing S to N. Valley oaks are large and old with some younger (20-30 yrs old). Some parts of stand are swamped by Vinca; other sections have rocky stream banks with grasses, shrubs, and herbs. Riprap has been added to stream bank along road. Bedrock is granite.
