Location Narrative |
Survey from roadside. Wetland stand of mixed Salix, Typha, and Rubus discolor. Salix is clumped toward center of stand but Typha, Juncus, and Rubus discolor weave in and out of the clumps. This vegetation type repeats in the landscape around here. Water is running throughout. Private property, there is no access to this stand. Data collected from road behind a barbed wire fence. Possibly, not all of what I call Salix laevigata is S. laevigata. Some trees with thick furrowed bark looked different than others from a distance, could have been S. lucida or S. gooddingii.

Observation Narrative |
No access, may have misidentified the willow species from distance. One could separate the stands of willow from the Typha.
