Location Narrative
Roadside Rapid Assessment survey from bridge into private creek (Dutch Ravine). Populus fremontii with Quercus lobata immediately above floodplain. Creek is 1-2 m across and flows SE to NW. Culvert and road are NW of stand. Understory is mixed willows with Rubus discolor, grasses, and Rumex. Cottonwoods are mixed age, with some standing snags and some middle-aged, occurring mostly on the flats. Valley oaks begin higher and on steeper banks.
