Location Narrative ? Cow Creek Ranch is a Shasta Land Trust easement property. Small riparian stand along (Little?) Cow Creek. The canopy is dominated by Valley oaks and Fraxinus latifolia with occasional alders and interior live oak. Salix lasiolepis occurs occasionally in the understory. The shrub and vine layer is dense, multilayered and diverse with Cornus, Salix, Rubus and poison oak. The pattern repeats interspersed with alder thickets along both sides of the creek. Wisteria japonica occurs in stand at 0.2 percent cover (listed as Wisteria sp.).
