Various private and public parcels near San Andreas: Serpentine north slope above creek. Pinus sabiniana stand is small but repeating along slope, alternating with grasslands with varying amounts of Ceanothus cuneatus. There are several standing Pinus sabiniana snags (possible fire?). Shrub understory is very young (4-10 yrs) for the most part with the exception of a few large, older Arctostaphylos viscida. Some grey pine regenerating. Understory contains substantial Melica, with Monardella, Grindelia, and other herbs and grasses.
