Author Location ? Owl Creek
Location Narrative ? This stand is a riparian habitat along the W side of Owl Creek, which runs SE to NW. The stand excludes the vegetation in the channel and the floodplain. This property was a ranch 20-30 years ago and was grazed and was mapped as A&E soil survey. There is an ephemeral drainage which runs at 50 degrees to the creek. The stand is a mixed-age, young to mature Quercus wislizeni, riparian stand in which the Quercus wislizeni was cut and is now resprouted, and there are some downed Quercus wislizeni stems. There is some Pinus sabiniana and Quercus douglasii to the W of the stand, but not in the stand. The bryophyte cover is 3%.
