Location Narrative ? Horning Ranch, Hamlin Canyon in Butte County: A dense, narrow stand of blue oak growing in the bottom of a seasonal drainage that is dry. Significant cover of Ceanothus cuneatus and Toxicodendron diversilobum occur in the shrub layer, with scattered, multi-stemmed interior live oak throughout the stand. The herbaceous layer is mostly weedy grasses.
