Location Narrative ![?](http://vegbank.org/vegbank/images/question.gif) |
Floodplain of South Fork of the American River on SE bank in flattish area that gets scoured. Two large Fraxinus latifolia overhang from just above stand on bank, but most trees are young and small (approximately 4 in. diameter). Some of stand (alders and ash) still have roots in water or form islands with water around trees. Large boulders, stone, and bedrock throughout. Grasses, blackberry, and herbs are below young willows.
