Location Narrative ? This is a recon-level Rapid Assessment survey of a Populus fremontii stand growing along a medium-sized creek adjacent to HWY 49. There are a few Salix sp. and Alnus rhombifolia mixed in the stand. The shrub layer is dense, comprised mostly of Rubus discolor. The herbaceous layer is dense in patches.
