Location Narrative ? Leininger Ranch is an easement of The Nature Conservancy. A band of interior live oak woodland on the steep, uppermost portions of the slope, just below this plateau. The canopy of oak is discontinuous, and in many places Fraxinus forms a dominant low tree/tall shrub layer with a diversity of other shrubs. Overall, the shrub diversity is high and that layer is very heterogeneous.
