Location Narrative |
This is a small stand of mature/decadent Adenostoma fasciculatum on a very small peninsula with young and seedling Quercus douglasii and Quercus wislizeni. The stand is bisected by many dirt roads, as it is found in a recreation area. The older oaks are found mostly along the periphery of the stand, young ones are evenly distributed throughout.

Observation Narrative |
There is a dominance conversion taking place. It seems like this area is converting from Adenostoma fasciculatum to Quercus wislizeni-Quercus douglasii.
