This is a Pinus sabiniana - Quercus douglasii stand of mature Pinus sabiniana and young Quercus douglasii which spans the top and E facing slope of the peninsula. Trees and shrubs are uniformly dense, and the herbaceous layer is continuous. The stand is just outside of, and incorporated into, an equestrian campsite.
