Location Narrative ? Black oak stand on a steep north-facing slope. There is a heavy understory of buckeye, snowberry, Rhamnus tomentella, and poison oak. The herbaceous layer contains many exotics, but also has abundant Elymus glaucus and Chinese houses. The oaks are large.
