Location Narrative ? Leininger Ranch is an easement of The Nature Conservancy. A dense diverse stand of tall shrubs mostly dominated by buckeye but with many co-dominants (shrubby interior live oak, birchleaf mountain-mahogany, scrub oak, poison oak, etc). The stand is on the uppermost, steep slopes at the base of the cliffs of Deer Creek (it occurs in similar settings in this canyon). Some patchy bay in the stand.
