This is a recently burned (last year) stand of Eriodictyon californicum and Adenostoma fasciculatum that is dominated at the present moment by young Eriodictyon californicum. Many, but not all of the large Adenostoma fasciculatum skeletons are sprouting from the base. The herb layer is diverse, but mostly dominated by Vulpia myuros and Bromus madritensis.
